![]() ![]() The top tiers just slip into clamps on the bottom V. It's a very slick-looking stand, a little octopus-like in the folding-unfolding stage, but very stable with boards on it. ![]() (Though not depth-adjustable, which annoys me, but this is easily addressed by turning the support bars at an angle, which also actually looks cooler from the front.) The second tier is completely height-adjustable and angle-adjustable. I own and increasingly often use the newest version of this stand. It's a little heavy, but solid, sets up in an instant and you can carry it on your shoulder in the bag. I have the original and yes the second tier is awkward to set up and yes the pin can fail, but I'm pretty sure the second generation is a much better product.īTW, I really like it as a single tier stand. ![]() At first I stuck the pin in and used tape or a rubber band to hold it in place so the stand would stay up, then I lost it in transport and had to stick a screwdriver in there to hold it in place.Īre you referring to the first or second generation of this product. On mine (and I've heard this is very common), it broke and the spring went flying. You pull it out, adjust the height of each side, then let go to let the pin go back in the hole. The height adjustment on the V uses a metal pin with a handle and is spring loaded. Also the tier has no hint adjustment, just angle, and I didn't like the position. The 2nd tier is a little awkward to attach/remove and the tier arms are a little awkward to transport. It looks cool but I wouldn't recommend it. ![]()
